“When we think of waves, we imagine motion. But what if, just for a moment, that motion were to stop—forever?”

This work depicts the emotional threshold that lies between fluidity and stillness, surface and depth, time and timelessness.
The seigaiha (blue ocean wave) texture symbolizes memories that have returned again and again, like waves washing ashore.

Have you ever found yourself repeatedly recalling just one memory, replaying it like a film projected inside your mind?

Perhaps, when that wave comes to a halt, we are both liberated—and left with a sense of loss.
A part of ourselves drifts away.
Yet in its place, another memory may quietly form within us, gently caressed in the same way, until it too becomes part of who we are.
