Black and gold, violet and green—
rising from the stillness is a faint ring of light.
It is like the afterimage left in the eye after gazing at the moon—
a quiet memory of light drifting beneath the night.

What is seen, and what is reflected—
the boundary blurs and sways within the circle.

I sealed that ambiguity into the layers of paint,
as if capturing the shape of a gaze adrift in the dark.

黒と金、紫と緑。
静けさの中で浮かび上がるのは、淡い光の円環。
それは、月明かりを見た後に瞳に残った残光のようなもの。
夜の底をくぐり、静かに揺れる光の記憶。

映っているものと、見えているもの。
その境界は曖昧なまま、円の中にたゆたっている。

私は、その曖昧さごと絵具に封じた。
それはきっと、夜を漂うまなざしのかたち。
