A sky reflected on the surface of a lake—
The lingering hues of twilight, or perhaps the breath of dawn.
A threshold between the sky and the cosmos.
A space that stretches endlessly into the distance, beyond what the eye can see.
As if on the way to a dream,
Or in that fleeting moment just before a memory returns.

The arcs across the upper and lower halves of the painting differ in direction and in the width of their undulations.
Accentuated by metallic pigments, the colors shift with the light and angle,
creating an ever-changing interplay of surface and depth.


湖に映った空
夕暮れの跡、或いは明け方の空気
空と宇宙の境界
先が見えないほど遠く彼方に続く空間
夢に向かう途中
何かを思い出す直前の印象
